Dr. Stephanie Kekulawa sitting and smiling
Dr. Stephanie Kekulawela is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She attended Medical School at the Penn State College of Medicine. She went on to complete her General Surgery Residency at the Penn State College of Medicine and Geisinger Medical Center. She also did her subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery at Baylor Scott & White Hospital/Texas A&M.
Her education has given her the skills to care for patients with broad ailments. Her focus is helping those with venous disease, lipedema, breast cancer, cancer of the abdominal organs, skin cancer, gallbladder disease, and genetic disorders, among others.
Dr. Kekulawela is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Southwest Surgical Congress, American Society of Breast Surgeons, National Consortium of Breast Centers, and the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. She has presented research focusing on improving patient outcomes and has also worked with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services while completing her training.
Dr. Kekulawela is engaged in her community. She is a speaker who consults on various topics related to healthcare as well as leadership development with special attention to interpersonal communication. Her work tends to take her far from home, but she appreciates reconnecting with friends and family while on her travels.
